So go ahead and tick the options for which hand you use for various things and see how you rate overall…

How left handed are you?

We all have our own view of whether we are left-handed or not and, ultimately, that is the the test - if you consider yourself to be left-handed then you are! That said, most people are mixed in their handedness and it is rare for people to do everything with just one hand or side of their body. Our test below will show which side you use for various tasks and how consistent you are in the use of your hands. It will also give you give you an overall score out of 100 for your level of left-handedness and you can see how you compare to other people. To get the overall score, we have weighted the various factors so, for example, writing left-handed gets a far higher weighting in the overall score than which way you hold a bat two-handed (see this page for more information on how we did this).

I scored 93% I am a bonefide lefty. the only thing I truly do right handed is use scissors. I am going to invest in some lefty scissors and see if I can use them… it is annoying that I live in a house full of right-handed people… but I love them anyway even if they are always wrong….

Yes when I was learning to print and write I kept using my left hand but was punished. I had to use the right. It really didn’t change anything. My grandma taught me to crochet I used my right hand but she said, I don’t know how you’re doing that but you hold the hook & crochet like a left handed person. I cannot teach anyone else how to crochet because the way I do it is so different.
I have found I can draw, print & write with my left hand. It is much easier for me than my right.
I am in the 70% score making me mainly left handed (60-90%)

90%. Two questions that supposedly counted against me I think are skewed: folding arms: left arm on bottom since it supports and holds the fold, and I use a phone with my right hand to keep my left free to do more granular tasks like note-taking, so I feel those questions are not good tests of left-handedness. But maybe get a bonus lefty rating for my bday being on NLHD. 🙂
