This simple survey will tell you how left-handed you are and give you an overall score you can compare to the thousands of others who have taken the test.
You can see our analysis of the test results so far here.
So go ahead and tick the options for which hand you use for various things and see how you rate overall…
How left handed are you?
We all have our own view of whether we are left-handed or not and, ultimately, that is the the test - if you consider yourself to be left-handed then you are! That said, most people are mixed in their handedness and it is rare for people to do everything with just one hand or side of their body. Our test below will show which side you use for various tasks and how consistent you are in the use of your hands. It will also give you give you an overall score out of 100 for your level of left-handedness and you can see how you compare to other people. To get the overall score, we have weighted the various factors so, for example, writing left-handed gets a far higher weighting in the overall score than which way you hold a bat two-handed (see this page for more information on how we did this).

I scored 100%, which I really didn’t need to take a quiz to determine. I do everything with my left hand and have a great deal of difficulty performing any tasks with “that other hand”.
I didn’t realize that being extremely dominantly left-handed was so rare… Turns out that only 3% of the population can make the claim.
This is very accurate to what I actually do!!! The test works very well.
i got 100% left-handed.
78% Lefty
i always wondered why my right hand was actually a bit more powerful and more flexible to do tasks despite me being left handed by birth. my score was 59 putting me in the mixed handed which is actually true. not many tests actually give the right results unlike this one
91% of left handedness ๐ always considered myself a leftie and boy did I realize I do less right handed tasks than I thought I did!
What this test doesn’t acknowledge is that we grow up in a right-handers’ world. And for most of history, there weren’t readily-available left-handers’ tools (scissors, can openers, etc). This means that our choice for using these tools – let’s say scissors – was to either learn to use them with the right hand or to keep using them with our left and cut imperfectly.
So some questions on this test (the ones relying on tools that are hand-dominance-dependent) is like saying “do you prefer pasta or pizza, when the choice is pizza or pizza?” There simply was no pasta for us!!!
I got 100%
