Being left handed create issues with my 4 brothers. I am the only one left handed. When my father purchased baseball glove one right handed glove and brother had to share and of course I got left glove. Also the same with hockey a stick they are curved right or left so I got my own stick. Then sitting at the table I had to be on the corner so not to bump elbows. I was always reminded I different. Which really bother me growing up. But as an Adult I like being left handed. At one time in my life I was militant left hander. When any one would go shake my hand I would put out my left hand. it was fun watching the right hander brain over load. I have computer at work set up left hand and have to inform when they ask to use computer the mouse is set up left hand. Then watch struggle with the mouse. Since living right hand world we left handers have had to adapted to using our right hands.
I’m interested in getting the survey results. I’m very cross dominant and it was somewhat confusing for me as a child. Love it as an adult as it makes me unique.
Wish I knew more about handedness in my family of origin! A family story is my mother born in 1929 was changed to right handed.
Things at work is more for right-hander so I have to try to do things more right-handed and I don’t like it. It slows me down and I can’t get things done as fast as the guy I work with.
It’s weird, but I love mathematical beauty of a proof, and the structure of the theory of advances mathematics. I get bored with computer programming, but I see the value of it in bringing beauty to the internet
Thank you for this website!
Interesting results. I do think I do some thing right handed because of the tools- scissors, hockey (there are no right handed sticks), golf (was given a right handed to try when a child). However I do play tennis right handed, but serve left.
Apologies there are no left handed hockey sticks – field hockey that is, not ice.
I have left handed family members on either side, aunts, uncles, cousins
I enjoyed the the survey
Glad you are doing what you do to help people like us.
